GKPN met in Lima, Peru this past March 7-10. The meeting was exceptional, with many wonderful moments and great results.
Among the hihglights was the presentation and discussion about media and its potential to shape the public perception about Christianity around the world. The panel was amazing, and the interaction around the tables was very meaningful.
The Refugee Initiative was very enlightening. We cover the situation in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Egypt in details. The European refugee initiative was presented and brought a lot of joy as we heard about the many hundreds of baptisms in Finland, Sweden, Germany and in other places. We are now looking for 300 members of the churches led by GKPN members, who are able to speak in Arab and who are willing to come to Europe for one to 6 months, to work with the refugees. For those who want to come, the program can pay for their airline tickets, food and lodging.
The Global Youth Movement also excited all of us, as they talked about the many thousands of youth leaders being equipped around the world, and also detailed to us the plans for the big GYM meeting in Guatemala, scheduled for June 27-40, 2018. They are expecting 15,000 youth leaders, from 100 countries, to join the GKPN members of Guatemala, in this very impacting equipping congress.
Finally, our brother Jim Burgess, from Dubai, introduced us for the venue of our 2018 meeting. We will be in Dubai, from 6-9 of March. I hope you all can come. We will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of the GKPN on that occasion.
We all thank Pastor Sergio Hornung and his team for the wonderful hospitality and love. They did a fantastic job in receiving us. We also thank Amelia Dantas for her outstanding coordinating job to make the flow of the meeting runs smoothly.
Blessings to you all,
Elias Dantas
Well done Elias and Amelia! Also, thanks to Pastor Sergio and Carla, and Mike and Susan Scales from NYACK, we really enjoyed being in Lima, such a beautiful city, hosting some wonderful people. It was great to meet new people and those friends we have met before at GKPN meetings. God bless you all, Andy and Ali Edmiston
